Every Little Bit
Counts!
In a feed mill
process, raw material covers approx. 85 % of the total cost of feed
production. In current scenario with high competition, less margins,
scarcity of raw material, high cost of grains, we must aim to produce
the feed at minimum prices and saving in raw material from gunny and
HDPE bags not only saves the raw material wastage but also the clean
gunny bags are sold at higher prices in
market.
For
recovery of grains and fibrous ingredients from bags, we specially
designed a highly efficient BAG CLEANING MACHINE; other
machines available in the market only support Gunny Bags; but this
design best suitable for both Gunny and HDPE Bags; for all grains and
fibrous material. even maize
too.
1.
Considering a feed mill producing 150 MT / Day using 55 % maize and 10 %
fibrous material. ( considering gunny bag only)
150 X 55
% = 82.5 x1000 = 82500 kgs / 50 = 1650 bags , assuming average
70 grams( 50 to 120 grams ) recovery per bag , total recovery
per day = 115 kgs @ 18 rs = 2070
rs
2. For 10 % fibrous material = 300 bags
@ 70 grams average recovery @ 15 rs = 315
rs
Total
recovery = 2385
rs
Operational
& labour cost for approx. 2000
bags
1. Machine capacity =
considering 250 bags per hour ( maximum 300 -320 bags) For 2000 bags = 8
hours
2. Power consumption is around 1 unit
for 100 bags ; for 2000 bags = 20 units @ 8 rs / unit = 160
rs
3. Labour , 1 person @ 500
rs
4. Total operating cost per day @ 2000
bags = 660 rs
5. If we consider 700 rs
considering depreciation & maintenance = net benefit = 1685 /
day
6. 0.20 rs / gunny bag benefit (
increased value of gunny bag after cleaning = 2000 = 400 rs a
day
7. Total benefit / day =2085 rs /
day
8. Considering a 70 % average throughout
the year @ 300 days
9. 300 x 2085 x 70 % =
approx. 4,35,000 rs
10. Cost of machine =
1,35,000
